5 For Friday!

Hey Everyone,

Here are some new tools and tactics from the week to help you live the best version of yourself!

1. We’ve been creative and produced a video called the “Shoulder Roll”. A simple way to set your shoulder in a position of comfort and strength before using it.  If you like our content, don’t forget to follow us.
 
2. A book I’m reading right now. “Do the Work” by Steven Pressfield. Often what’s holding us back in our lives is “The Resistance”,  it’s that voice in our head that we can’t do something, self doubt, ego, procrastination, fear etc.  For example, If we tell our selves, we should go for a walk or workout and then have the immediate feeling “I’m too tired”, that feeling is “The Resistance”. How do you overcome it? Well, here are a few tips, stop thinkingbe instinctual, 5 second rule ; count down from 5 4 3 2 1 and move your body into action,  stop listening to people who support your “resistance” hang out with those who you admire and can learn from.
3.  Recent Purchase: Shahana found a yoga mat she loves and I purchased one for the office as well. It’s affordable, eco friendly and durable.
4.  Food Spot Light  – Chia Seeds - Are a daily food used in our house. Its loaded in fibre and omega 3’s and we use it bulk up the kids stool and keep them regular. 1 tablespoon (11g)  has 5g of fiber and 3 g of omega 3’s. For now, we’ve convinced them its “heathy sprinkles”. Found in almost every major grocery store and of course costco.
