5 For Friday!

Hey everyone!

Here are some tools and tactics from the week to help you live the best version of you. We are also open to serve you tomorrow (Saturday) from 830-1030am.
1. It has been hot! How much water do you need to drink?  A min of 50% of your body weight in oz. If you weigh 160lbs, you require a minimum of 80oz or 10 cups of water.Fill a 20 oz bottle 4 times in a day! Start the day hydrated, front load your water intake, meaning drink more in the morning. Try having 2 glasses of water within 10 min of waking.   My sister in law and amazing Naturopath, Dr. Shabtia Teja was on Global BC this week speaking about hydration. Here is the video.
2. Do you struggle with your sleep? While it can feel hopeless at times. It’s time tosleep smarter not necessarily longer.  This amazing interview with Shawn Stevensonsummarizes all the tools to help get you back on track. Enjoy!
3. Many of us fear change and prefer consistent order vs chaos.  I was curious and comforted when someone told me about the Perturbation Theory.  When you add chaos or dramatic change to a system, it becomes temporarily weaker and as you put the pieces back together it has the potential to be even stronger! Here is an example;  Shahana and I moved moved our boys into one bedroom last night for the first time. It was chaos! It was a like having two circus monkeys in one room. We separated them for the night and will try again today. Initially we felt like we failed but the Perturbation Theory was reassuring.  We expect and hope over time that the system will restrengthen and order will be restored, until we introduce chaos again!  Where in your life do you need to shake things up? Go introduce some chaos!
4. Quote to ponder: Change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end”  – Robin Sharma
5. We love this environmentally wise saran wrap alternative. Its called Abeego.  You can reuse it, it lasts for one year and it keeps your food fresher longer.
Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Have a blessed weekend!

Sincerely,

Your Surrey and Guildford Chiropractor
