Here are some tips and tools from the week that have helped our family and team.
1. Upper Body Strengthening Routine: 3 moves to keep you strong, out of pain and improve your posture. Right here.
2. Santa is coming: “If you’ve been bad, you won’t get your presents” is a phrase I’v regrettably used, but what does that really mean to a child. I asked my 4 year old son, what does it mean to be good? He shrugged his shoulders. Perhaps we could flip the phrase to; have you been trying your best and and kind to others? What’s your phrase flip?
3. The Art of Subtraction: Growth is not the art of adding it’s art of shedding. What do you need to let go of? Things and people.
4. Mental Checkup: Do you catch yourself saying “I’m tired, I’m angry, I’m scared vs. I feel tired, I feel angry, I feel scared. Knowing your emotions come and go releases us from the idea we “are” our thoughts and feelings. Here is Dr. Shahana’s instagram message.
5. Quote: “To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that prisoner is you” – Lewis Semdes
