5 For Friday!

Here are some tips and tools from the week that have helped our family and team.

1. Stress your body: Are you getting out of breath when you are exercising? Walking the same distance and speed everyday is coasting. There is only one way to coast and its downhill. I know it’s not easy. You can get better no matter where you are at today. No age excuses here! Stress/challenge the system and your body will adapt and get stronger.

2. Simple: Sit on the floor once a day (sit on pillows if needed), it opens the hips and literally grounds you!

3. Food Timing: It’s not just what you eat, it’s when you eat. Are you waiting for your body to send your brain the signal “I’m hungry”, wait another hour and then eat.

4. Muscle is the organ of longevity: Eating high quality animal protein (grass fed) and or plant based protein helps repair and restore stressed muscle tissue.

5. Humans are wired to go slay dragons! - We are wired to move every day, build, hunt, gather, climb and hike. Hack your environment so you can simulate movement throughout the day, get a stand up desk, set a timer every 30min and move for 2min, take your calls on a walk. Be creative and build it into the day.
